Cyber Essentials Certified

What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme to help businesses protect against common cyber-attacks.

Is it for me?
A business of any size can become Cyber Essentials Certified.  The scheme focuses on 5 key areas of risk control that your organisation needs to have in place:

  1. Secure configuration
  2. Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
  3. Access control
  4. Patch management
  5. Malware protection

GDPR compliance
With GDPR now in place, the Information Commissioners Office (the ICO) requires you to employ ‘Appropriate Security Measures’ to protect the data you hold. It recommends Cyber Essentials as a ‘good starting point’ for this.

What will it do for me?

How do I become certified?
One of our friendly team will take a look at your network and procedures and make an assessment, based on the 5 areas of risk control.

We will then talk these through with you, and make suggestions on how you can improve your cyber security.

Once the suggestions have been implemented, we will fill out and submit the Cyber Essentials questionnaire on your behalf.

On successful completion, you will be awarded with a Cyber Essentials certificate and a badge to include on your website.

How much will it cost?
For us to complete and manage the registration process for you will cost £600 per year ex VAT.

However, there might be some additional security measures that you need to upgrade prior to submitting your completed questionnaire.  The cost of these additional measures is not included in this £600 registration fee.
