Our Client Delivery Manager, Andy, is undertaking the biggest personal challenge of his life.
On 21st March, he’s walking The Green Line (the border between Turkey and Greece) from West to East in Cyprus, with his two sons, Shawn (32) and Patrick (28).
It’s approximately 110 miles and he intends to complete it in 5 days – that’s just under a marathon a day!
All for charity
As ex-forces (The Royal Corps of Signals), he will be raising funds for The Royal Corps of Signals Benevolent Fund (RSBF) and Help for Heroes (H4H), who both provide vital services and support for ex-servicemen and women.
We have become very used to seeing Andy walk into the office with his backpack on – he’s been walking into the office three times a week as part of his training. But we never really appreciated the weight of the backpack and the contents he was carrying!
This is everything Andy will be carrying with him during his charity walk:
And this is our Graphic Designer, Sadie, trying on his backpack for size! (Sorry Sadie, we can’t help but laugh that it’s almost as big as you!)
Raising awareness for Men’s Prostate Cancer
During the 5-day walk, Andy will be supporting the Tulips Cancer Trust, a Cypriot-based cancer charity. He will be playing a key part in their Men’s March, which is aimed at raising awareness of prostate cancer, during men’s cancer awareness month.
