Microsoft are rolling out new updates that will help you save time and be better prepared for meetings whilst on the go. Let’s take a look at the new offerings…
Any emails and documents that are relevant to your upcoming meetings will start to appear in your Outlook calendar event details.
When you open an upcoming meeting with attendees you collaborate with on a regular basis, Outlook will insert your recent email conversations and shared files so you can quickly prepare for your meeting. Content shown as Meeting Insights will be tailored to you.
This will be rolled out for Outlook Android and iOS during October and November.
Time Zone Support
You’ll be able to designate a different time zone when scheduling a new event in Outlook for iOS and Android. This will make it much easier to organise meetings and events if you have colleagues in different time zones.
RSVP through notifications
You can now RSVP to a meeting invite (as well as see the time and location of the meeting) when you expand Outlook notifications on your device’s lock screen.
Up Next (for iOS only)
Outlook will display information about what’s Up Next in your calendar, at the top of your inbox, 30 minutes before the start of the event.
If you have something in your diary (for example, a meeting you have accepted or an event marked as ‘busy’), Outlook will provide information about the event as a glance. YOu can touch the banner to open the event details, or swipe to dismiss in the usual way.
