On 12th September 2018, Apple unveiled its latest devices to the world – 3 new iPhones and the Apple Watch Series 4. They’ve hit the headlines and everyone is talking about them – here’s what you need to know.


iPhone XS

Described by Apple as ‘everything you love about the iPhone, taken to the extreme.’

Apple Watch Series 4

Fundamentally re-designed and re-engineered to help you stay more active, healthy and connected.

  • Largest Apple Watch Display yet available in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm.
  • Larger screen shows more app information.
  • Custom dual-core 64-bit processor and new GPU makes it twice as fast as previous generations.
  • Advanced heart-monitoring capabilities – it’s the first product with a built-in ECG that you can buy over the counter. It converts your ECG readings to a PDF that you can share with your doctor. It will monitor you throughout the day and alerts you if it detects unusually high or low heart rates.
  • Fall Detection – built-in sensors can detect if you fall over don’t move for 1 minute, it will initiate a call with the emergency services and send a message to your designated emergency contact.
  • Emergency SOS – allows you to quickly get help. Calls 999, notifies your emergency contacts, sends your current location and displays your medical ID badge on the screen.


An interesting product launch and with a focus on health and well-being, it could be the Apple Watch Series 4 that emerges as the star of this year’s show.
