Last weekend was a very important date in our diary…it was the projectfive summer BBQ!
This epic event takes place every year, kindly and very generously hosted by our Directors Steve, Hazel and Sarah. For those of us first-time-attendees, we’d heard the stories (and seen some incriminating photos) but would it be as good as everyone promised? Well the short answer is ‘yes’ – and then some!
We arrived to see our vintage projectfive van, Lily, parked in the front garden, next to her modern counterpart.
The garden had been set-up with tables and chairs, there was a marquee full of food and drinks, the BBQs were on the go and it all looked pretty amazing.
What made it so special was that our Director team did it all themselves – there was no outside catering, our MD was on BBQ duty and they made us all feel so welcome in their home. It was their way of saying thanks for all our work throughout the year and it certainly made us feel really proud to be part of our lovely orange team.
As the drinks flowed and last of the burgers were devoured, our MD, Steve, hosted the annual ‘Fivey Awards’, where he presents certificates to members of the team for … let’s just say, the more questionable things that they’ve done over the last 12 months. Needless to say, we all had a good laugh
at with each other!
On behalf of our whole team, we want to say a massive thank you to Steve, Hazel and Sarah for an amazing day…we’re already looking forward to next year’s!
