Wow – what a fantastic day we all had at the Winter Pimms in the Forest event last week. The weather was excellent – not a cloud in the sky! We were really impressed with the ‘buzz’ that everyone was feeling. It was great to see so much heathland cleared in such a short space of time – that probably accounted for all the hot Pimms that was drunk on the day!
We managed to raise £ for the Surrey Wildlife Trust and help them with their heathland management at the same time.
Plus, I saw quite a few people making business connections on the day – so, it goes to show that the networking really does work.
So, all in all, I think the day was a great success. Certainly there was an appetite from everyone to repeat the even next year – so watch this space…
But – there was one big drawback… everyone I’ve spoken to has commented that the Christmas Tree they chose is much, much bigger by the time it was put up in the living room. Mine is certainly bigger than I’d imagined – it takes up a lot of space in the living room.
Still, at least I had a big 4×4 to take it home in, unlike Dave Good, who can be seen with his Christmas Tree on the front seat of his Lotus!
