Internet Explorer 8
Regular readers of techbytes will know that Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft’s latest web browser, has been available for people to try for some time now. Well, earlier in March, Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 8 in full.
It’s free to download and install from the Microsoft Website, and from the end of April onwards, you should receive your upgrade automatically through your Windows Updates.
Microsoft claim that their new web browser is faster, easier and safer than ever before. We’ve been using it, and I have to say that they are right.
One feature we especially like is the ability to re-open recently visited websites whenever you navigate to a new Tab – this is very useful if you accidentally shutdown a Tab and want to get back to that website!
You can install Internet Explorer 8 on any computer bought in the last 7 years (ie – any PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista). If your PC is older than this, then Internet Explorer 8 will not work.
