Welcome!

In this edition of techbytes we've got a very exciting tool for anyone who goes to meetings, uses flipcharts, gives presentations and uses PowerPoint. If this sounds like you, then take a look at Paper Show.

Plus we've got an interesting guest article from Anne Perret with some valuable tips to help you when it comes to submitting your next tender.

The rest of techbytes is taken up with information on some exciting events that are coming up in the next few weeks. I urge you to read on - there will be something there that interests you, and I hope to see you at one of the events.

Steve Coburn.

Paper Show

Paper Show is a new twist on the handwriting technology that we’ve been enthusing about for years.

The starter kit is not expensive – at £120 it’s certainly not the same kind of money as a SMART Board.  But – it does the same kind of thing!

Paper Show - an electronic flipchart

If you have meetings, use flipcharts, give presentations and run training sessions, then this will be of interest to you.

Winning your next Tender - some helpful tips.

Calyx Communications

by Anne Perret, of Calyx Communications

The present economic situation is making it more likely than ever before that organisations will go out to tender to procure almost any kind of goods or services. There is an even greater attention on controlling, and -  preferably reducing - costs, and a growing tendency to prolong purchasing decisions.

Underpinning these trends is an inexorable rise in the influence and power of Procurement, whether as a discrete function within an organization, or as third-party suppliers managing purchasing activities on behalf of clients.

What is Twitter?

Twitter

Steve produced a factsheet for Shipleys LLP back in January, and we've taken the opportunity to update it and publish it on our website.

Capturing Business Card Details

Watch out for a review next month on how we captured your details at the Grow Your Business exhibition. We'll be trying out a new Business Card scanner that captures details straight to Outlook using a mobile phone - and comparing the results to the traditional Business Card Scanner solutions.

If you want to see the mobile phone scanner in action, visit us on stand 143 at the Grow Your Business exhibition.
