Backing up your data means you won't lose everything you've worked for - unfortunately you can't assume it will never happen to you.

A robust backup solution is essential to ensure that you do not lose your important information.  A computer failure cannot be prevented completely, but you can take steps to ensure that your data is not lost if something goes wrong.

Server backup (online).  An Online Backup solution is the most sensible solution where you have less than 100GB of data (beware of Tape or USB solutions that appear cheaper at first – they often don’t provide the protection you need, or require ongoing effort on a daily basis to operate).  We can provide a solution that will backup all changes to an offsite server and mirror them to an additional server in an alternate location.  On a monthly basis, we can then archive your older data and backup to long-term Tape Media for you.  This solution offers a low administration overhead (no changing tapes everyday and transporting them offsite), a high-level of protection, and an easy way to cope with changes in your data requirements (no need to replace your tape drive when the amount of data you have increases).

Laptop backup (online).  A similar solution to the server backup can be applied to your laptops.  We can configure your laptops such that, at shutdown, the latest changes are pushed to the backup environment and stored with your main data.  This solution will provide added protection for your company’s data when your workforce is mobile – they only need a connection to the internet to ensure that their data is backed up.

Desktop PC backup (to server).  It’s very easy to apply ‘rules’ to your PCs so that all data saved in areas such as ‘My Documents’ on the local PC are synchronised with the Server, and therefore included in the server backup – an easy way to ensure all your company’s information is kept safe.  Of course, if you don’t have a server, then the Online Laptop Backup can be applied to a Desktop PC.

Server backup (tape media).  When you have a lot of data, then the easiness and reliability of an Online Backup system may be offset by the higher costs of storing the large amounts of data online.  In such as situation, it might be worth considering writing your backups directly to Backup Tape Media.  We can then collect and store your Backup Tapes in the right environment in and offsite location to provide you with better protection.
